Srinagar, July 03 (KNO): Divisional Commissioner Kashmir P K Pole Friday said that aggressive sampling, testing, monitoring and supervision will be intensified in Kashmir’s four vulnerable districts that include Shopian, Baramulla, Srinagar and Kulgam.

“The four districts that include Shopian, Baramulla, Srinagar and Kulgam are witnessing 82 per cent to 85 per cent Covid positive cases followed by deaths. So, divisional administration has decided to intensify sampling, testing, monitoring and supervision in these four districts from tomorrow onwards,” Pole told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), in an exclusive chat.

He said that lockdown will remain same as it is in these four districts, however, relaxations will be given in two orange districts of Ganderbal and Bandipora, where cases have shown declining trend. “Aggressive testing means more cases which is not a worry. There will be more focus on monitoring and supervision in the four vulnerable districts of Kashmir,” he said.

Yesterday, the Divisional Commissioner had disclosed to KNO that the divisional administration was mulling a strategy to deal with the challenges in four vulnerable districts of Kashmir. He had also stated the patients who die of Covid-19, reach hospitals at the eleventh hour where doctors find difficult to treat and save them—(KNO)
